My results are pretty much what I expected, but the surprise for me lies in the Italy/Greece/Tunisia or *green* area. I'm sure that's on my mom's side, but it's not an area either of us were aware of until we took our tests.
I've noticed that the results change over time. As the ancestry.com database expands, they become more detailed. My results looked slightly different when I took this test initially. As more data is collected, they have become more specific. Pretty sweet.
I love watching the #FindingYourRoots show on PBS because beyond the DNA, they go deep into records, old newspapers and other such materials to dig up entire family trees for their celebrity guests. If you ever get the chance to catch an episode, I highly recommend it.
